About Rebecca
Rebecca has lived in the district for 18 years and has community roots spanning generations. She grew up on a family farm learning about honesty, compassion, sacrifice and responsibility. Her down-to-earth upbringing taught her the value of hard work and to appreciate the people who put in an honest day’s effort for an honest day’s pay.
Rebecca is a graduate of Maryland’s Public Honors College, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, having been drawn to its mission of providing a top-notch education regardless of socio-economic status.
No other candidate has Rebecca’s business experience. Her background includes manufacturing, human resources and property management. She has dealt first-hand with public and workplace safety, equal opportunity employment and fair housing practices. She’s balanced budgets, met payrolls and negotiated with vendors while managing skilled employees. For 17 years, she has been a founding partner in Dionysus’ Kitchen, a successful Catonsville-based catering firm that has been a market leader in championing sustainable practices. Their commitment to service and hospitality has given her the experience needed to provide constituent services while promoting quality job creation in our community.
Rebecca feels fortunate to be able to work side by side with her staff, knowing that one must work hard in order to inspire others. She knows that listening is the only way to deliver quality and value. Most importantly, she knows how to deliver results! With a strong work ethic, attention to detail, time management and people skills, she will make a great councilwoman.
No other candidate has such a convincing track record of supporting the community, its citizens, and our environment. Rebecca has volunteered many hours and donated tens of thousands of dollars, either in cash or gifts-in-kind, to groups such as:
